Custodial Position at Colorado State University Pueblo

The Facilities Management Department provides a safe, clean, aesthetically attractive and functional campus environment through the maintenance of all campus buildings and building areas for the enhancement of the learning environment, the overall appeal of campus, and the level of human safety and comfort. This position will report to the Colorado State University Pueblo Evening Custodial Supervisor (Custodial III) and will be responsible for Custodial I functions. This class describes the fully operational level. Position operates independently in performing the full range of custodial tasks and related problem solving. The assignment is clearly defined so the position follows established work procedures. Position operates within standard guidelines and alternatives that are known and any deviation from such require prior approval. Many assignments do not move beyond this level. Primary duties include fulfilling cleaning standards, deep cleaning projects, assisting other facilities staff, and building exterior cleaning and snow removal.

Salary: $39,852/annual. Due to budget constraints, we have a constricted wage range for this position. We are only able to accept applications from persons with two years of service or less in the Custodian series. Individuals with related experience outside of the Custodian series are also encouraged to apply.

Minimum qualifications include six (6) months of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position and a valid and unrestricted State of Colorado driver's license. Preferred qualifications include experience in floor care, work experience in a school setting, and experience working events.

This position requires essential services designation to be on duty to perform essential and/or emergency services of the agency without delay or interruption. This includes emergencies such as broken windows, power outages, storm damages, and snow removal due to inclement weather including during University closures, after-hours, and weekends.
