Senior Manager, Oncology Group Purchasing Organization(GPO) Above-Brand Strategy

AstraZeneca seeks a Senior Manager for Oncology Group Purchasing Organization strategy based in Gaithersburg, MD. The role involves managing GPO service strategies, coordinating cross-functional oncology initiatives, overseeing multi-million-dollar budgets, and ensuring compliant delivery of programs and events aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Align GPO service opportunities with brand strategic goals and oncology business needs while engaging external stakeholders
• Lead planning, execution, and budget management for meetings, events, trade shows, and strategic projects
• Manage GPO vendor services and program submissions with internal governance teams and compliance partners
• Oversee multi-million-dollar budgets for brand and GPO engagements, including forecasting, accruals, and invoice management
• Serve as single point of contact between GPO Account Directors and oncology brand leads, coordinating bi-weekly service delivery calls

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years pharmaceutical industry experience, or Associate degree and 5 years experience, or High School Diploma and 10 years experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver measurable results
• Strong communication and decision-making skills with senior leadership and external stakeholders
• Excellent cross-functional project management and organizational abilities
• Experience managing budgets across multiple vendors, projects, and teams
• Experience with data reporting from project deliverables and services
• High proficiency in project management and strategic planning documentation

Compensation: $147,000–$220,000 base
