In this role, you will operate independently as a mid-level practitioner, conducting essential medical evaluations for customer employees in accordance with safety and health guidelines. The responsibilities include performing occupational medical evaluations, adhering to medical surveillance directives (OSHA), and administering physicals for equipment operators, DOT, pre-employment, and return-to-work assessments. You will analyze occupational medical history questionnaires and test results to ascertain employees' fitness for job functions, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. Please note that this position does not involve continuity of care or urgent care practices. Shifts are flexible, typically ranging from 8 to 10 hours on weekdays, and may occasionally require travel for on-site evaluations at employer locations or tri-state mobile occupational testing events. Requirements Graduation from an accredited program with appropriate state medical licensing. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in occupational medicine preferred. Skills/Competencies Required DOT medical examiner certification under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is strongly preferred (assistance will be provided for obtaining certification). Experience performing thorough physical examinations for DOT drivers, silica workers, crane operators, military personnel, and other industrial employees. Conduct workers' compensation physical evaluations and provide written recommendations for authorized representatives. Demonstrate outstanding professionalism and interpersonal skills in interactions with customers and team members. Ability to adhere to procedures and policies as determined by management. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail with strong organizational and time management capabilities. Proficiency in computer skills.
