Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Travel OBGYN Registered Nurse (RN)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)
Location: Petoskey, MI 

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate OBGYN Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology to join our team for a rewarding travel nursing contract . As an OBGYN RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to women throughout their reproductive health journey, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to women in the labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecology settings.

• Assist in routine and high-risk obstetrical deliveries, as well as gynecological exams and procedures.

• Monitor maternal and fetal status, including vital signs and fetal heart rate.

• Administer medications, IV fluids, and pain management as prescribed by physicians.

• Offer support and guidance to patients and their families throughout pregnancy, labor, and recovery.

• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality care.

• Assist in patient education on prenatal care, postpartum recovery, contraception, and other gynecological topics.

• Respond quickly to emergencies or complications in labor and delivery situations.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN) nursing.

• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.

• Experience with high-risk pregnancy and/or labor and delivery preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

• Strong communication skills and compassionate patient care approach.
