HVAC/R Technician

HVAC/R TechnicianThis position is responsible for the HVAC-R maintenance and/or repair, of a variety of specialized equipment in an assigned group of 7-Eleven (family of brands) stores within a geographic area. Service calls are initiated from the store via 7Help work orders to appropriate technician. Position reports to the Area Facilities Manager.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponds to work orders for a wide variety of in-store equipment which include, but may not be limited to minor repairs of HVAC, minor repairs to refrigeration, cold beverage equipment (ex. tea, fountain, FBD, FCB, creamer machine), fountain/backroom ice makersResponds to work orders related to plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issuesCompletes preventative and basic maintenance tasks on structures and other equipment including, but not limited to dispensers, point of sale (POS), computers, security equipment, telephone and data lines, heating and air conditioning systems, refrigeration equipment, lighting, signs, and pumps as requiredResponsible for replacing 'plug and play' equipment as neededSchedules and prioritizes duties and work assignments on a daily basisMinor repairs to equipment (such as hoses, nozzles, fuel filters, decals, HVAC filters, water filters, etc.) as neededResponsible for ordering and management of parts inventory for truckCompletes required reports and paperwork daily to account for the time and use of parts and materialsObserves and inspects equipment to determine if servicing or further action is requiredKnowledge of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenanceAbility to use hand and power tools applicable to jobKnowledge of refrigerant recovery and safe disposal of refrigerantAbility to perform preventative maintenance according to published guidelinesAbility to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedureWorking knowledge of HVAC/associated system employing computer-based monitoring and control devicesKnowledge of mechanical or electrical equipment, plumbing, utilities, distribution systems, and controls, including maintenance and troubleshootingAbility to use computer-based monitoring/control devices in maintaining and troubleshooting HVAC systemsWorking analytical and problem-solving skillsAssign work to and oversees the work of direct service providers in the HVAC tradeUnderstand and carry out oral and written instructionsEstablish and maintain cooperative work relationshipsAssist with training of lesser experienced techs as neededWork independently and under minimal supervisionKnows how to braze refrigerant lines and components safely and properlyCompletes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by managementEducation and ExperienceEducation: High School/GEDYears of Relevant Work Experience: 1+ yearsYears of Management Experience: NACertifications / Licenses: EPA 608 (Type I, II, or Universal) CertificationSpecific Knowledge and Skills:Show Leadership (Practice Leadership skills Daily)Peer to Peer Tech supportEffective communicationProjects/Stretch assignmentsFacility location ownershipPay: $20.00 - $37.00 Hourly
