Maintenance Technician I - 1st Shift

Job Summary Maintenance Technician I – 1st Shift, responsible for maintaining and repairing facilities systems on the Facilities and Maintenance Team in Duncan, South Carolina. The role is on‑site. Responsibilities Install, diagnose, repair, wire, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment and controls related to production and building equipment, including motors, pumps, relays, circuit breakers, electronic machine controls and circuits, computers, printers, and other equipment. Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery. Install and maintain a wide variety of complicated machine tools, test stands, and building equipment with minimal direction. Qualifications Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment. Ability to effectively communicate, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions. Extensive knowledge of electronic systems, components, and their functions. Preferred Experience Trade school degree in electronics or previous electrical repair/wiring experience. Minimum of 5 years of work experience in electronics and machine maintenance. Microsoft Office and SAP experience, specifically in a manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Required lifting weight: minimum of 35 lbs daily. Required to stand for long periods of time (up to eight hours or more). Frequently twist and bend.
