Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based labor and delivery nursing care to obstetric patients on-site.

• Monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret findings, and escalate concerns promptly.

• Document accurately in electronic health records; ensure compliance with standards.

• Meet performance targets and contribute to pipeline-based achievement metrics.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant delivery unit adhering to policies.

• Perform obstetric procedures within scope (e.g., labor support, epidural coordination).

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans.

• Demonstrate a growth mindset through ongoing learning and professional development.

• Participate in shift handoffs and ensure continuity of care across teams.

• Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, and postnatal care.

• Mentor junior staff and share best practices to improve unit performance.

Experience/Qualifications

• Active RN license in California with obstetric/neonatal care endorsement.

• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.

• ACLS certification with ability to coordinate epidural and obstetric procedures.

• Ability to monitor maternal/fetal status and escalate promptly.

• Proficient use of electronic health record systems for accurate documentation.

• Strong patient and family education skills on labor, birth, and postnatal care.

• Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration and care planning.

• Ability to mentor junior staff and lead shift handoffs effectively.

• Demonstrated growth mindset with ongoing professional development.

• Evidence of performance target achievement and pipeline-based planning.
