SUMMARY OF POSITION Reporting to the General Manager, the Host will welcome guests, provide accurate wait times and escort guests to the dining and bar areas. A successful Host will have excellent organizational skills and a passion for hospitality to ensure each guest has an exceptional dining experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere to greet guests Be a Casa Juani brand ambassador and engage with guests in conversation Provides guests with menus and answer any initial questions Seats guests at tables or in waiting areas Assigns guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of guests Engage with guests to ensure they're happy with dining experience and service Respond to complaints and help resolve them. Answer phone calls, take reservations and answer questions as needed in coordination with the Guest Relations Lead Have a detailed knowledge of the menu Assists with other positions in the restaurant as needed. Provide outstanding service to guests Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings Attends and participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings Learn by listening, observing other team members and sharing knowledge while leading by example Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 1+ years of related service experience Saturday afternoon and evening availability a must Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required Commitment to quality, excellence, and genuine hospitality Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences Ability to provide warm, humble, and knowledgeable service Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Strong time management skills Willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation Willingness to work as part of an efficient team in a fast-paced environment Polite and engaging with guests and team members Neat and well-groomed appearance Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol Ability to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms for extended periods, and lift up to 30 pounds COMPENSATION Competitive Wages Medical, Dental, Vision Plans (Full-Time Positions Only) Paid Time Off - Including Sick and Mental Health Time Off 401(k) Employee Dining Discounts Employee Assistance Program Each of the items listed is considered to be an essential function of the role.
