About the Role:
Paris Baguette Rockaway is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to help lead our bakery and café team in Rockaway, NJ. Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager in daily bakery and café operations to ensure smooth, efficient service
- Lead, coach, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences
- Oversee food quality, presentation, and freshness standards across all bakery and café products
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and workforce management
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and minimize waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and conflict resolution professionally
- Drive sales performance and assist in meeting store revenue goals
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience in a bakery, café, or food service environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification is required)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Passion for baked goods, café culture, and delivering a premium guest experience
