Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg OrthoWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg Ortho unit. This role requires excellent communication and time management skills to provide exceptional patient care in a telemetry environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care for orthopedic patients in a telemetry setting.Monitor and assess patient conditions while ensuring adherence to care plans.Collaborate with healthcare team members and communicate effectively with patients and families.Read and interpret telemetry strips, with support from tele monitor technicians.Maintain patient safety and comfort through skilled nursing practices.Shift InformationShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36/48 hours rotating every two weeksSchedule: Days, 7 am to 7 pm; Every other weekend and holiday requiredOrientation: Includes two shadow shifts prior to independent practiceUnit InformationUnit Type: TelemetryTotal Beds: 12Patient Ratios: 5-6:1Support Staff: Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) available at a 12:1 ratioEquipment: Cpap, Bipap, and high-flow nasal cannulaQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.Certifications: Current ACLS and BLS certification required.Ability to float to all Med/Tele units as necessary.Strong critical thinking skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.Dress CodeScrub Color: Navy BlueAdditional InformationThis position does not require titration of drips, but RNs must be proficient in reading telemetry strips.
