About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP for Operational Risk and Market and Liquidity Risk Control within its Risk Management Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing independent risk oversight, monitoring, and reporting related to market and liquidity risk and operational risk. This role involves ensuring effective oversight of risk exposures, compliance with regulatory requirements, and working with various teams to manage risks in accordance with policies and limits. The VP will also be involved in operational risk management, including monitoring, providing guidance, and engaging in major change initiatives to mitigate operational risks. Applicants must have a degree or professional qualification in a business or quantitative subject, with a minimum of 10 years' working experience, including at least 5 years in a risk management function at a major financial institution. A strong quantitative background, in-depth knowledge of market and liquidity risk, and operational risk and control are essential. The role requires a track record in project management, strong inter-personal skills, and the ability to manage various stakeholders. Experience in vendor applications such as Murex and Finacle is preferred, with additional knowledge of SQL and Visual Basic being a plus. The ideal candidate will be a professional team player, flexible, adaptable, and proactive in their approach.
