Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Overview Provides technical support and patient care within the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Assists physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Responsibilities Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining procedures and answering questions. Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures. Administer medications and contrast media as directed. Operate and maintain specialized cardiac catheterization equipment. Document patient care and procedure details accurately in the electronic medical record. Ensure a sterile environment is maintained throughout procedures. Respond to emergency situations as needed. Schedule / Shift 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM Unit / Specialty Cardiac Cath Lab Cardiac Catheterization Lab Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program or equivalent experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist. Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Certifications BLS ACLS Skills Proficiency in cardiac catheterization procedures. Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology. Familiarity with sterile technique. Ability to monitor hemodynamic and EKG data. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Floating / On-Call No call requirements.
