Job Description
This role focuses on inspecting and troubleshooting HVAC systems and chillers in a manufacturing environment that produces temperature control units. You will perform hands-on HVAC inspection, documentation and results reporting, and communicate findings clearly to both customers and internal teams while ensuring systems meet performance and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Test and inspect HVAC systems and chillers to verify proper operation and performance.
- Troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration issues to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
- Perform HVAC control checks and inspections to ensure systems operate according to specifications.
- Document and report testing and inspection results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate test results and findings clearly to customers and internal team members.
- Follow established procedures, safety standards, and quality guidelines during all testing and inspection activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the manufacturing facility to support continuous improvement of temperature control units.
- Use HVAC testing tools and equipment properly to ensure reliable and repeatable results.
Essential Skills
- Refrigerant Certification (must have).
- At least 3 years of HVAC troubleshooting experience.
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems.
- Experience with HVAC controls and HVAC inspection activities.
- Ability to interpret test results and translate findings into clear reports.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks within assigned shift hours.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Associate’s degree preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- Familiarity with temperature control units and related equipment is a plus.
- Comfort using hand tools, testing instruments, and basic measurement devices.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing and inspection work.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing facility that produces temperature control units. The environment is clean and temperature-controlled, supporting comfort and consistency during testing and inspection work. The position offers flexibility within second-shift hours between 2:00 pm and 12:00 am, working approximately 32–40 hours per week for about 8 months. Appropriate attire includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, and a plain collared shirt to meet safety and facility standards. You will work around production equipment, HVAC systems, and testing instruments as part of the daily activities.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
