Location 7917 Center Boulevard SE - Snoqualmie, Washington 98065 Job Summary Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our KeyBank communities. The Private Client Banker (PCB) is part of the Key Private Client Program and will focus on the entire client relationship with a plan‑based approach to financial advice. As a PCB, you will deliver and refer appropriate financial solutions to KeyBank’s client base with up to $2M in investable assets. The PCB helps new and existing clients achieve confidence in their financial wellness by assessing their financial needs, gathering and documenting client data, and offering appropriate products and services. PCBs identify products and services to meet client needs and refer to appropriate sales professionals in Retail, Key Investment Services, Private Bank, Mortgage or Business Banking. Essential Functions Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially. Listen for clues for financial wellness opportunities during client conversations and provide effective and customized financial wellness recommendations to clients; delivers on client solutions through referring investment and insurance products. Consistently attains individual activity, behavior, and outcome goals and expectations. Builds a client referral pipeline via identification and development of internal and external centers of influence; employs a disciplined approach to prospecting and documents calling efforts. Develops and maintains an in‑depth knowledge of private client products and services, as well as knowledge of competitive products and services to ensure meaningful in‑depth financial wellness conversations with clients. Opens personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, various deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.). Develops strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners through in‑person meetings—focusing on client acquisition and deepening the relationship of current clients; effectively manages internal and external centers of influence. Ensures compliance with operational, risk, security and audit procedures and policies, including appropriate documentation of client interactions. Supports branch operations, including assisting with client transactions on the teller line as needed. Participates in and occasionally facilitates in‑person morning huddles and end of day debriefs. Works on Saturdays as directed by management. Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key. Education High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience (required) or Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Work Experience Experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals and building referral sources in insurance and investment products (required). Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele‑consulting, outside calling, prospecting and networking (required). Comfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objection, and asking fact‑finding questions with the goal of being helpful (preferred). Interpersonal interaction skills and an ability to build rapport in minutes is vital (required). Demonstrated experience with influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence; this role will require significant influence of partners such as Key Investment Services, Mortgage and Business Banking sales professionals (required). Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel, etc.) (required). Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, web‑based browsing) and ability to educate clients on digital platforms and capabilities within Key (required). Licenses and Certifications FINRA License S6 Upon Hire (required) FINRA License S63 Upon Hire (required) FINRA Security Industry Essentials (SIE) Upon Hire (required) Life and Health Insurance Licenses Upon Hire (required) Skills Knowledgeable about the client’s accounts and business with the bank and uses sound judgment with clients and transactions. Demonstrated ability to attain sales and referral goals through preset appointments and quality conversations leading to recommendations that support clients’ financial wellness goals. Strong work ethic and high level of integrity. Excellent time management skills. Provides clients with expert advice on managing their finances, including investment strategies, retirement planning, and tax optimization. Builds and nurtures relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that enhance their financial well‑being. Evaluates the overall health of a client’s financial situation, including their ability to manage day‑to‑day finances, save for the future, and protect against financial risks. Actively identifies and develops new client relationships through prospecting and networking. Develops and maintains strong relationships with high‑net‑worth clients, providing personalized service to meet their financial needs. Stays updated with market trends and analyzes market conditions to provide informed financial advice. Physical Demands Consumer Retail – Prolonged standing (5–8 hours per day), frequent use of hands to manipulate/grasp objects, ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with clients, occasional bending and lifting from floor height, frequent forward reach, frequent lifting of 1–10 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. Driving Requirements Ability to routinely and frequently operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license. Work Location Category Branch Compensation And Benefits This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $25.00 – $38.46 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
