The CNA & PCA Caregiver provides essential support and care to patients primarily in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and delivering compassionate emotional support. Regular weekend and holiday shifts are required, with a typical patient-to-caregiver ratio of 1:3.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including hygiene support and mobility assistance
- Assist with medication management under supervision
- Support patient communication and emotional needs
- Monitor patient safety and report any concerns promptly
- Help with meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Maintain a safe and clean care environment
- Coordinate care with other healthcare team members
- Work weekend and holiday shifts as scheduled
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in patient care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Patient hygiene assistance skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Empathy and compassion for patients
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
