Position Summary The Speech‑Language Pathologist will provide assessment, consultation, and intervention services to children and youth with a variety of communication needs. Services will be delivered in a client‑ and family‑centered, evidence‑informed, and trauma‑informed manner to support functional communication, participation, and overall quality of life. Services may be provided in‑home, within the community, virtually, or at our centre locations depending on client needs. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with families, ABA professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary team while maintaining professional autonomy and clinical excellence in accordance with CASLPO standards. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech‑language assessments and develop individualized intervention plans Provide evidence‑informed therapy and consultation services for children and youth with: Speech sound disorders Expressive and receptive language delays Social communication differences Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) needs Feeding and swallowing concerns (within scope of competence) Use formal and informal assessment tools, clinical observations, and data collection to establish goals and monitor progress Deliver services in a culturally responsive, neurodiversity‑affirming, and strengths‑based manner Collaborate with families and caregivers to support communication development and skill generalization Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with RBAs/BCBAs, ABA therapists, mental health professionals, educators, and other service providers Maintain accurate, timely, and secure clinical documentation in accordance with CASLPO standards and PHIPA requirements Provide consultation and ongoing communication with caregivers and other stakeholders as appropriate Participate in ongoing professional development and quality assurance activities Maintain active registration and good standing with CASLPO Support the development and sharing of resources for clients and families Provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to Communication Disorder Assistants (CDAs) and/or Speech‑Language Assistants in accordance with CASLPO supervision guidelines Delegate tasks appropriately while maintaining responsibility for assessment, treatment planning, and clinical decision‑making Conduct supervision meetings and review documentation completed by CDAs/Assistants Perform other duties consistent with the scope of practice of speech‑language pathology Qualifications Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology Current registration and good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech‑Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) Experience supporting children and youth with communication differences preferred Experience with AAC, social communication, and neurodiversity‑affirming practices considered an asset Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations as needed Current Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain) CPR/First Aid certification considered an asset Compensation & Perks Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications between $90.00-$110.00 dollars per hour.
