A skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care expertise is needed for a 13-week contract in Endicott, NY. This opportunity suits those experienced in respiratory therapies within NICU and adult critical care settings, utilizing advanced ventilator technologies.

Schedule/Hours:

• Days
• 36 hours per week

Qualifications and Certifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required by the NBRC
• Current New York State Respiratory Therapist license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification

Desired Experience:

• Proficient in critical care and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) respiratory therapies
• Experience with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
• Ability to participate in external patient transports

Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory care to critically ill adult and neonatal patients
• Operate and manage ventilators including noninvasive and invasive support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement respiratory therapy plans
• Perform patient assessments, monitor therapy effectiveness, and adjust treatments as necessary
• Ensure compliance with safety standards during patient transport activities
