Responsibilities - What you'll do This position is in the Planning and Grants Unit in the Research, Planning, and Process Improvement section.
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and tracking of strategic initiatives and grant projects, including coordinating tasks and reporting project progress.
- Review and analyze processes and operational practices to identify inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare clear, concise written summaries, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations; document processes and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain organized records and documentation; ensure timely and accurate and tracking of grant funds.
- Collaborate with divisional subject matter experts to gather accurate program information, clarify requirements, and ensure planning materials reflect current practices.
- Provides administrative support to the Research, Planning, and Process Improvement Section including scheduling meetings, producing minutes, meeting room set-up and supplies management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or other basic continuous improvement concepts.
- Experience facilitating small meetings, gathering requirements, or supporting cross-team collaboration.
- Advanced experience with use of Microsoft Suite, specifically in Excel.
- A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).
- A $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend if you work full-time at a qualifying facility.
- A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.
