Field Service Technician - 3135USA:LA:Geismar | Shop & Field Service Support | Full-TimeResponsibilities of the Field Service Technician include, but are not limited to:· Execute scheduled preventive maintenance, field repairs, and major equipment overhauls, including filters, bearing and component replacements· Use hand tools, power tools, and sandblasters to dismantle broken equipment and clean grease, rust, or debris from pump interiors and exteriors· Inspect machinery using precision tools like dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers to check wear and tolerances· Communicate effectively with customers and shop personnel proper protocols needed to maintain customer equipment for preventative maintenance plans· Work as a team with coordinators and other field service technicians to troubleshoot equipmentQualifications of the Field Service Technician include, but are not limited to:· Experience working with rotating equipment, HVAC, or other industrial equipment· Ability to travel to customer sites· Effective communication· Background check, physical, and drug test required· Acceptable driving record required according to company guidelinesAdditional Information :Physical Demand : Able to lift 50lbsWorking Conditions : Field ServiceTraining/Certifications : Forklift certification preferredShift Time/Overtime : M-F 7:30 - 4:30Travel : Some travel required, mostly Southern LouisianaEducation : High School Diploma or equivalentDXP offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time regular employees, normally working a minimum of 30 hours per week, including: medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, paid holidays, life and disability insurance, and additional supplemental benefits.
