Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact in the academic and personal growth of K-12 students as a School Psychologist for a contract position spanning the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity is based primarily in Emporia, KS, with assignments in surrounding districts located within a short drive. The role offers a dynamic schedule and the chance to collaborate with a dedicated educational team while supporting students across a range of ages and needs.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Kansas School Psychologist License is required.
- Experience with K-12 populations in educational settings preferred.
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and individualized education planning (IEP).
- Ability to adapt services to diverse student backgrounds and learning challenges.
- Exceptional communication, consultation, and collaboration abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to identify academic, behavioral, and emotional needs.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective interventions.
- Interpret assessment data and collaborate with educators and families to support student success.
- Deliver counseling and crisis intervention as appropriate for students or small groups.
- Prepare thorough and timely documentation of evaluations, services, and recommendations.
- Contribute to the development and review of IEPs and 504 plans.
- Support teachers and staff in implementing evidence-based interventions and accommodations.
