ULTRASOUND TECHNOLOGIST

Job Summary Provide advanced ultrasound services at the George Washington University Hospital. The role reports to the imaging department leader and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of technologists, residents, and fellows. Sign On Bonus $12,500 Sign On Bonus. Responsibilities Provide clinical ultrasound services according to practice standards. Assist students, residents, fellows, and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions. Administer safe patient care practices in line with hospital and department policies. Complete ancillary tasks to support efficient and consistent departmental operations. Demonstrate safety for patients, staff, and self per department protocols and regulatory guidelines. Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and work areas in a neat, safe condition. English speaking and writing fluently. Diploma from certified school of Radiology required. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Sonographer; acute care experience preferred. Current RDMS license required. Breast and Vascular registry preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.
