Occupational Therapist

Location : Newport News, VA | Fredericksburg, VA | Yorktown, VA Job Type : Full-Time Salary : Competitive, based on location and experience We are looking for a licensed, experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team! In this role, you’ll provide outpatient rehabilitation services in-home for the older adult population. You may work in private residences or independent living facilities. What You’ll Do: As an Occupational Therapist, you will: Assess, develop, and deliver customized therapy programs for rehabilitation. Make referrals to other specialists to meet patients’ comprehensive needs. Implement individualized therapy programs to enhance performance and promote recovery. Educate and train patients and caregivers in essential skills to foster independence and productivity. Lead activities to maintain and improve patients' health. Your Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you must: Hold a valid Occupational Therapy license in your state or have proof of eligibility. Possess a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, or a Master's degree in a related field along with a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. Have 5+ years of progressively responsible experience as an Occupational Therapist. If your degree is from outside the U.S., it must be evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. Occupational Therapy degree. Hold a valid driver’s license or reliable, independent transportation. Be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting 50 lbs and long hours of standing/walking. Comply with all legal and ethical requirements, including HIPAA, and pass credentialing verification before the interview.
