Position Overview The Merchandise Support Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring that our store is well-stocked and organized for our customers. This position involves receiving and prepping products for the sales floor while maintaining an immaculate stock room. Reports To Store Management Essential Functions Customer Experience First Impressions: Uphold a professional appearance by following the dress code. Store Standards: Ensure a clean and organized environment, both in the stock room and on the sales floor. Inventory Control Shipment Management: Report any discrepancies in shipments and missed markdowns to management. Merchandise Handling: Prepare merchandise by sensor tagging, steaming, folding, and hanging as necessary. Stock Organization: Facilitate the transition of new merchandise to the sales floor and consistently replenish stock. Operations: Execute necessary transfers, manage returns to vendor, track damages, and handle customer charge sends. Stock Room Maintenance: Keep the stock room clean and organized, ensuring merchandise is ready for the sales floor at all times. Cooperation & Dependability Task Completion: Complete assigned duties effectively as directed by management. Punctuality: Arrive on time and adhere to the designated work schedule. Teamwork: Collaborate flexibly with coworkers and management to accomplish goals. Policy Adherence: Strictly follow company policies and procedures. Housekeeping: Engage in regular housekeeping and maintenance tasks. Miscellaneous Responsibilities Meetings and Functions: Attend all store meetings and related functions. Positive Attitude: Maintain a positive attitude towards merchandise and company goals. Inventory Participation: Assist in all inventory processes. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by store management. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift over 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts. Job Requirements Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Previous experience in retail or stockrooms is preferred. Team Player: Strong ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment. Flexible Schedule: Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
