Job Description

As a Security Officer Medical Facility Control Access in Bethpage NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and support access control activities. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication to employees visitors and patients while using teamwork and integrity to contribute to a welcoming environment. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents medical-related concerns and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the healthcare location including business areas entrances parking areas and perimeter while reporting unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor employee and delivery activity in accordance with site-specific procedures to help deter unauthorized access.
• Document patrols incidents observations and activities accurately and communicate relevant information to supervisors and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
