Insurance Verification Specialist

USA Clinics Group is a nationwide network of outpatient clinics specializing in vein, fibroid, vascular, and prostate care, offering minimally invasive treatments close to home. Position Details Location: Northbrook, IL Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (on-site) Compensation: $23-$26 per hour based on experience and qualifications Responsibilities Review referring physician and patient documentation for medical necessity against insurance protocol requirements for pre-certification purposes Actively communicate with staff regarding status of authorizations and manage reschedule or cancellation when authorization is not in hand Liaise with offices and patients regarding new, changed, or pending insurance authorizations, providing ongoing education about changes in requirements Schedule STAT, emergent patients for outpatient diagnostic exams Interact with patients, representatives, physicians, and office staff to collect and verify accurate demographic, billing, and clinical information Produce and distribute required forms with accurate patient information Respect and protect patient confidentiality and privacy, disclosing information only for professional purposes in the patient's best interest Display a positive attitude when interacting with provider office staff, providers, and colleagues Perform additional duties as assigned Requirements High school graduate required; advanced education preferred At least 2 years of prior experience in a healthcare setting handling benefit verification and prior authorizations Billing and coding or other related certifications preferred Strong computer and typing skills Immaculate attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills Excellent customer service skills Strong data entry skills Excellent organizational skills Benefits Health insurance (medical, dental, vision) Retirement plan Paid time off (vacation and sick) #J-18808-Ljbffr
