Just Hoops by Shoot-A-Way is a basketball training facility located in Lewis Center/Powell. We are seeking a Full-Time Coach & Facility Coordinator to join our team. This position includes salary, health benefits, and retirement options.

This is a hands-on leadership position that combines basketball coaching, athlete development, facility operations, customer service, and team leadership.

 

The Facility Coordinator & Coach is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the facility and ensuring an exceptional experience for every athlete and family who walk through our doors. Working alongside our team, this role involves building strong relationships with clients, understanding and managing client needs, overseeing accounts, helping develop programming and events, and contributing to strategic planning to best serve our athletes.

In addition, the Facility Coordinator & Coach will coach players of all ages and skill levels, reinforcing our commitment to development on and off the court.

 

This position plays a key role in upholding our vision of being a blessing to every athlete that enters Just Hoops.

 

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with players and parents to better understand their needs and support their development.
• Oversee daily facility operations and client needs, taking proactive steps to create an exceptional experience.
• Lead by example and help create a positive, energetic, and welcoming environment for athletes, families, and team members.
• Coach athletes of all ages and abilities through classes, personal training, clinics, camps, and other programming.
• Work alongside other coaches to develop and execute programming, marketing initiatives, and events.
• Assist with client accounts, scheduling, memberships, communication, and other customer service needs.
• Utilize client feedback, facility activity, and other available information to identify opportunities to better serve athletes and operate more effectively.
• Help identify problems, develop solutions, and take ownership of making things better.
• Contribute to strategic planning and new ideas that help Just Hoops grow and better serve our athletes and families.
• Support and collaborate with team members to ensure a consistent and exceptional Just Hoops experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Passion for basketball and for helping players of all ages and skill levels grow and develop.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with players, parents, and staff.
• Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative and supportive approach.
• Servant leadership mentality and a genuine desire to put others first.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and adapt to changing needs.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
• Creative, forward-thinking, and proactive in solving problems.
• Willingness to work both on the court and in the day-to-day operation of the facility.
