You own reliability, data integrity, and the handling of sensitive data, and you turn one-off solutions into reusable platform capability.Welltower is a global leader in wellness-focused and healthcare real estate. This is a hands-on AI engineering role for someone who wants to build from the ground up inside a company with real scale behind it.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest, clean, and structure data into a usable formBuild the model and agent orchestration layer, and the APIs that applications consumeTurn patterns hand-rolled in the field into reusable platform primitives so future work delivers more without proportional headcountEstablish data quality frameworks and automated testing to ensure data integrity and reliabilityOwn reliability, data integrity, and access controlImplement data governance practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or related technical field6+ years in backend, data, or ML infrastructure engineering, shipping production systems at scaleStrong data engineering depth: pipelines, transforms, and modeling messy real-world data into usable structureExperience building and operating APIs and services that other engineers build onHands-on with LLM orchestration, agent frameworks, or model serving in productionRigor around data security and access control, ideally with regulated or sensitive dataBased in the NYC metro area and able to work on-siteCOMPENSATIONSalaries may vary by location. The base salary range for this role in New York is $160,000 to $220,000.
