Enterprise Architect - Mission Architecture

Salary: $150,000 - 235,000 per year Requirements:

• We require U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance.
• We require a bachelors degree in systems engineering, computer science, engineering, information systems, or a closely related technical discipline.
• We require 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, operational mission systems, systems engineering, or strategic modernization within defense or intelligence settings.
• We need strong knowledge of enterprise architecture, digital engineering, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) principles.
• We require experience defining architecture governance standards, integration frameworks, interface strategies, and target-state operational architectures.
• We require experience building enterprise and system architectures, engineering deliverables, integration approaches, and operational workflows.
• We require hands-on experience with Cameo Systems Modeler or similar digital engineering toolsets to produce architecture products, system interaction diagrams, mission workflows, interface definitions, and requirements traceability artifacts.
• We need familiarity with cloud architectures, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, AI/ML, system integration, and enterprise modernization methods.
• We require excellent communication, collaboration, and technical writing abilities.
• We require the ability to present complex technical architectures clearly to government leaders, operational stakeholders, and engineering teams.
• Preferred: experience in defense, space, or multi-domain operational environments.
• Preferred: experience supporting DoD or federal mission systems, enterprise modernization, or operational C2 programs.
• Preferred: expertise with MBSE and digital engineering tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Preferred: deep knowledge of DoDAF, UAF, SysML, BPMN, and related enterprise and operational architecture frameworks.
• Preferred: experience with enterprise cloud platforms, cloud-native and hybrid-cloud environments, container orchestration, and secure distributed mission infrastructure.
• Preferred: knowledge of RMF, DISA STIGs, and Zero Trust cybersecurity frameworks.
• Preferred: experience contributing to proposals, capture efforts, or strategic modernization initiatives for federal or defense programs.

• We serve as the strategic architecture authority for an integrated multi-domain C2 mission environment.
• We develop and maintain enterprise and operational system architectures that support integrated operational and mission environments.
• We define and sustain the overall C2 architecture baseline, including operational concepts, integration standards, interface strategies, interoperability frameworks, and scalability models.
• We apply MBSE methods to support architecture development, requirements traceability, integration planning, digital engineering, and lifecycle engineering.
• We create and maintain engineering artifacts, system models, interface definitions, architecture products, operational workflows, and reference architectures for integrated mission operations.
• We use MBSE tools and enterprise architecture frameworks to support digital engineering and mission architecture work.
• We develop integrated engineering execution plans and schedules using Cameo Systems Modeler or comparable planning tools.
• We architect scalable cloud, hybrid-cloud, and distributed system environments aligned to operational mission needs.
• We define enterprise integration standards for APIs, middleware, event-driven architectures, operational data exchange frameworks, and mission interoperability.
• We contribute to technical solutions involving AI/ML-enabled analytics, DevSecOps pipelines, cybersecurity architectures, software engineering, and operational data fusion.
• We develop engineering roadmaps, transition architectures, modernization strategies, and scalability frameworks that support future operational deployment.
• We collaborate with engineering teams, leadership, and government stakeholders to refine operational mission architectures.

We are GXM, hiring a full-time Enterprise Architect to support enterprise architecture development, digital engineering initiatives, and strategic mission integration for advanced Command and Control environments. This is an onsite role in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with hybrid flexibility that may grow over time depending on mission needs, program execution, and results.
