Opportunity: Labor & Employment Associate-Defense (Hybrid - Sacramento)
Are you a litigator who thrives on high-stakes defense work but is tired of the 2,100-hour treadmill? A prestigious firm in Sacramento is looking to add a talented Associate to their growing Labor & Employment team. This role offers a sophisticated caseload, a genuine path to partnership, and a rare focus on work-life integration. The Work: A Balanced Defense Practice The firm is seeking a specialist to manage a diverse portfolio with a strategic 50/50 split between: * Single-Plaintiff Litigation: Defending against claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation. * Complex Class Actions: Leading the charge on PAGA claims and wage-and-hour class action defense. However, candidates with significant experience may be considered for a more remote-heavy arrangement. * Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Requirements * Licensure: Must be admitted to the State Bar of California and in good standing (Active status). * Experience: 2+ years of dedicated California Labor & Employment litigation experience. * Subject Matter Expertise: Solid understanding of CA wage & hour laws, PAGA, and FEHA. * Defense Background: Proven track record in a solid labor/employment defense practice.
