Travel Physical Therapist - $2,350 per week

Job Summary Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Farmington, Connecticut. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Apply various therapeutic techniques, including exercise and manual therapy, to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management strategies. Maintain a safe treatment environment in accordance with infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to stay current with best practices. Assist in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress. Perform additional duties within scope of practice as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Prior experience in a physical therapy setting (new graduates welcome). Additional certifications or licenses as required. Essential Skills Critical thinking and problem‑solving.
