Job Description: CASE SPECIALIST for APP/CalWORKS Programs Davis Street Community Center is seeking an APP Family Specialist to support families participating in Alternative Payment Programs. This position helps families manage their child care subsidy by providing program information, maintaining accurate family files, determining eligibility, and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. Full-time 37.5 Hours/week with excellent company paid benefits! Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:30AM - 5:30PM. Responsibilities Manage caseload and maintain organization of family files to create accurate paper trail including case notes showing eligibility for child care services provided according to compliance standards. Neat, legible, organized and presentable. Track and monitor eligibility and status on families actively receiving child care subsidy services, inform and provide support to encourage voluntarily reporting updates and provider/parent choice relationship, and submit data reports. Conduct initial enrollment and recertification appointments; determine and process income and need eligibility including status changes, maintaining family files and verification of requirements. Request documentation for continual compliance, and process updates, discovery, and client requests according to regulatory guidelines and Davis Street policy and procedures. Calculate to determine income and assess family fees and adjusted gross income according to regulatory guidelines. Determine need for child care services based on request and supporting information. Initiate prompt and professional responses to clients, co-workers, and other individuals while delivering timely services or correspondence; continually prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met. Requirements Associate degree or higher in social services, human development, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. Basic math skills and experience with data entry into computer software systems. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and general office systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain positive client relationships. Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills. Ability to prioritize workload, adapt to changes, and meet strict deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
