Imaging Technologist

This position involves working in a Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital. There is a Magnet Designation and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The facility has a total of 397 beds. Patient care includes inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department cases. The patient ratios are 1:1. Experience in a challenging environment is essential. Support on the unit includes a receptionist during the day shift. A hospitalist or physician is available after hours. The charting system is EPIC, and equipment includes Alaris and Pyxis systems. Weekend rotation is required every other week. There is no call duty associated with this position. The average number of scans per day varies, with approximately 15 daily. Technologists collaborate with a tech aide on weekends. Radiologist residents are onsite. Processing of scans is conducted by a third party.
