Welder – Stainless Steel Mig | Custom Fabrication

We're seeking a skilled welder to join a stable, growing manufacturing team in the South Metro. This role focuses on custom stainless steel MIG welding for heavy-duty equipment used in the fertilizer industry. If you prefer hands-on, non-repetitive fabrication work and take pride in craftsmanship, this is a strong opportunity.

What You'll Be Building

You'll fabricate rugged, custom equipment designed for demanding agricultural environments, including:

• Blenders and mixers
• Bucket elevators and conveyors
• Rotary drums
• Custom fertilizer bins and tanks

This is custom fabrication—not production-line welding—so projects are varied and engaging.

What You'll Do

• Perform stainless steel MIG welding on custom industrial equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Weld using .035–.045 flux-core and hardwire MIG
• Weld 1/16" to 1/4" mild steel and stainless steel (pipe, sheet, plate, channel)
• Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
• Complete custom welds in, on, and around tanks
• Maintain high standards for quality and safety

What We're Looking For

• Welding certification, diploma, or equivalent hands-on MIG welding experience
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Stainless steel welding experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding positions
• Comfortable working in varied positions (bending, kneeling, crawling)

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of Belle Plaine, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
