Responsibilities include set‑up and maintenance of equipment and other support tasks depending on the unit assigned. Responsibilities Assist nursing staff with patient care delivery. Perform clerical functions and maintain unit organization. Set up and maintain medical equipment. Prioritize assignments to manage a heavy workload. Qualifications Current California Certified Nurse Assistant Certification or equivalent nursing program enrollment or completion (Registered Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Licensed Psychiatric Technician, or military medical training). Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting (preferred). Active enrollment in an accredited nursing program is required; graduation or dropout may result in suspension. Pass a 4‑hour USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Electronic Health Record data entry training course. Understand basic medical terminology and abbreviations. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification from American Heart Association. AB508 (Management of Assaultive Behavior) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
