Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled Structural Fitter to join our team. The Structural Fitter will be responsible for assembling structural components in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction, manufacturing, or fabrication industries and will play a key role in building and maintaining structural steel frameworks for various projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to fit, align, and assemble structural steel components.
- Measure, cut, and shape metal materials using saws, torches, and other tools.
- Assemble and install steel beams, columns, and other structural components.
- Ensure all components are accurately aligned and secured according to specifications.
- Operate hand and power tools, including welding equipment, to complete fitting tasks.
- Inspect finished structures for accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with welders, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all workplace safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Structural Fitter or in a similar role in construction, fabrication, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of metalworking techniques, including cutting, fitting, and measuring.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and equipment.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in welding or metal fabrication is a plus.
