The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology unit is an 11-bed unit that provides specialized care to infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with a wide range of hematological and oncologic disorders. Our multidisciplinary team provides comprehensive family-centered care to these patients throughout their treatment journey including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood product transfusions, bone marrow transplantation, symptom management, and end-of-life care. As a center actively involved in clinical research, we offer patients access to innovative clinical trials while providing evidence-based, compassionate care that promotes the best possible outcomes. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification, and APHON Chemotherapy Certification are required. 1-year previous Pediatric experience is required. Previous Pediatric Oncology experience preferred. An Associate’s degree in Nursing is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position is Night Shift, 36 hours per week, 7pm-7:30am.
