Job Summary The Design Engineer will support our dewatering design team with all aspects of dewatering design preparation. This is a key technical role responsible for the design and implementation of groundwater control systems across various projects. The role involves utilizing engineering principles to develop efficient and effective dewatering solutions while adhering to industry standards and project specifications. The Design Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, provide technical guidance, and oversee the execution of dewatering designs from conception to completion. Job Responsibilities Dewatering System Design: Lead the design and optimization of dewatering systems for construction projects. Hydrogeological Analysis: Conduct hydrogeological assessments to understand groundwater conditions and hydraulic properties of soils which influence the design and performance of dewatering systems. Engineering Calculations: perform engineering calculations to determine pumping rates, well spacing, and other parameters critical to the operation of the dewatering system. Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for dewatering submittal packages. Sales Support: Provide technical sales support for our business development team to help sort, prioritize, and high-grade potential dewatering opportunities and assist with sales strategy development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, geology or a related field. Professional license (PE/PG) is preferred or currently pursuing either license. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated project management skills, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Some experience in dewatering system design and implementation, preferably in the construction sector. Proficiency in hydrogeological analysis and engineering design tools. Experience with groundwater modeling software. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to dewatering system implementation. Travel 10% (as needed basis for project meetings or site visits). Quarterly travel to Omaha, NE to coordinate with Engineering team and at hire for initial training. Benefits Employees may choose from several plans for health and dental coverage.
