Senior Physician Assistant - Urgent Care and Emergency
Location: Sacramento, CA area (worksite in Roseville and Folsom, CA)
Shift/Schedule: Full-time, onsite, various schedules including days, evenings, and weekends
Pay/Compensation: $175,200 – $264,800 per year

A leading regional healthcare provider known for patient-centric care is hiring Senior Physician Assistants for its urgent care and emergency services. These clinicians evaluate and treat a broad range of acute illnesses and injuries as part of a physician-led team. Core Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Perform procedures such as laceration repair, splinting, and incision and drainage
• Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications within scope of practice
• Coordinate with physicians and specialists for escalation and admissions
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and follow-up care
• Document visits accurately and promptly in the electronic health record

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current NCCPA certification
• Active California Physician Assistant license, or eligibility before start
• Current DEA registration, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or acute care
• Flexibility to work rotating schedules including weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Several years of emergency department experience
• PALS certification
• Experience with procedural skills in a high-volume setting
• Epic electronic health record experience
• Experience within a large integrated health system
