Payroll Design and FLSA testing Lead - Pharma (Hybrid- Tampa, FL/ Madison, NJ/ Lawrenceville, NJ)

We are seeking a Payroll Design and FLSA testing Lead for a global pharmaceutical client. The experienced Payroll Design & FLSA Testing Consultant will support payroll compliance, process design, requirements gathering, and testing activities. The consultant will work with Payroll, HR, Time & Attendance, Finance, and vendor teams to assess requirements, design payroll solutions, validate calculations, and support payroll transformation initiatives.

This is a 40-hour per-week, 6-month contract (extensions possible), 50% onsite role in Tampa, FL/ Madison, NJ/ Lawrenceville, NJ). Work Schedule: Core business hours M - F

This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and a 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

• Gather and document payroll business requirements and process designs.

• Review and enhance payroll processes, controls, and governance.

• Analyze impacts to FLSA overtime, regular rate calculations, bonuses, premium pay, and payroll compliance requirements.

• Support payroll design activities related to:

o Earnings and deductions

o Time integration requirements

o Payroll interfaces and data flows

o Wage type and earnings code design

o Payroll controls and compliance requirements

o Payroll operational procedures and handoffs

• Develop process flows, business requirements documents (BRDs), and functional specifications.

• Create and execute payroll test plans, test scripts, and validation scenarios.

• Lead System Testing, UAT, Parallel Testing, and payroll reconciliations.

• Track testing defects and coordinate resolution with internal and vendor teams.

• Support payroll transformation, optimization, and automation initiatives.

Requirements:

• 3 -4 years of payroll design, payroll implementation, or payroll testing experience.

• Strong knowledge of FLSA, overtime regulations, and payroll compliance requirements.

• Experience gathering payroll requirements and documenting future-state processes.

• Experience supporting payroll system implementations or enhancements.

• Strong payroll testing and reconciliation experience.

• Experience working with ADP GlobalView, Workday, SAP Payroll, or similar platforms.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in Payroll transformation and process engineering initiatives is preferred.

• Experience in Global payroll environments.

• Payroll integrations with HR, Time & Attendance, Benefits, or Finance systems experience is preferred.

• Payroll automation and continuous improvement projects is preferred.

Compensation: $32/hr. - $35.71/hr.
