Convenient access by Metro Red Line, NoMa/Gallaudet University. Schedule: Full Time 40+ hours per week. Schedule flexibility required between 6am to 6pm and overtime. Position is essential personnel. After hours and weekend work maybe required. Compensation hourly $26.00 to $29.00 Based on Experience. Custodian Supervisor Job Summary:The working supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of six (6) custodians to ensure cleanliness and sanitation throughout the areas and rooms of the building and outside grounds. Train staff in proper techniques and procedures in cleaning, using tools & equipment, compounds, solvents and chemicals. Working supervisor contributes effectively to the team in accomplishing goals, objectives and activities.Custodian Supervisor Requirements: 3 years of supervisory experience in past 7 years in leading cleaning staff in commercial, hospital or preferably in a high profile federal office environment.5 years of experience cleaning commercial, hospital, or government facilities in the past 7 years.Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be bilingual, fluent in English and Spanish.Basic computer skills and ability to track and complete paperwork/documents.Understands the upkeep, care and safe operation of motorized equipment used for cleaning i.e. auto scrubber, buffer, snow blower, trash compactor, genie lift, pressure washer, box compactor, sweeper, etc.Must pass a background check and U. S. Department of Justice (DOJ) security clearance to obtain and hold badging to access federal secured properties.
