Associate Scientist I, Analytical Research & Development
Catalent
Catalent seeks an Associate Scientist I for analytical research and development at its St. Petersburg softgel manufacturing facility. The role involves supporting analytical scientists with testing, reagent preparation, and compliance with safety and environmental standards on raw materials, drug substances, and finished products.
Responsibilities
- Support analytical scientists in completing development program milestones
- Perform compendial and non-compendial testing on raw materials, drug substances, samples, and finished products
- Prepare chemistry reagents, standards, media, and mobile phases for analyses
- Maintain analytical equipment calibration and standardization for balances, pH meters, and spectroscopy instruments
- Document and tabulate analytical results in notebooks, reports, and logbooks
Requirements
- Associate degree in science with 5+ years GMP analytical laboratory experience, or Bachelor's degree in science
- Experience with analytical instruments: UV/VIS, infrared, atomic absorption, dissolution
- Ability to work with hazardous and potent compounds using appropriate safety protocols
- Color differentiation, 20/30 vision with or without correction, computer proficiency
- Capacity to sit, stand, walk regularly and lift 0–20 pounds
