Responsibilities Design and execute experiments for method development under supervision or independently. Develop new scientific approaches to method development and communicate them to the global science team. Maintain knowledge and skill in all relevant techniques. Provide scientific input to management and business development regarding new technology investments. Discuss scientific results with sponsors alongside the project manager. Promote ICON/PRA via scientific communication such as external publications, posters, and journal articles. Perform R&D projects. Train technicians on technical aspects. Mentor and train staff on scientific topics. Takes initiative in process development and SOP/WI writing. Maintain legible, logical and reproducible documentation of all experimentation. Comply with GLP and other relevant regulations. Develop rugged and economical assays. Perform data review of other scientists’ work. Provide key assay input to validation and bioanalysis teams. Conduct assay troubleshooting. May perform and document maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on advanced instrumentation with support of service engineers. Desired Experience Flow cytometry experience required. Ligand binding experience preferred. Expertise in ligand binding assays. Experience in method development. Qualifications Read, write and speak fluent English. BS in Science with 5‑7 years of experience in a relevant laboratory field. MS or PhD with applicable research in a relevant scientific field preferred. Presenter/Publisher in regulated relevant field preferred. Level offered depends on experience and education.
