Water/Wastewater Engineer Job Locations: US – TN – Franklin Category: Water Resources Type: Full‑Time Overview As a Water/Wastewater Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Nashville, TN office, you’ll contribute to a range of municipal and utility water projects, supporting the planning, design, and implementation of innovative infrastructure solutions. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop sustainable and cost‑effective systems, helping communities address complex water and wastewater challenges. Project types may include water distribution and storage, water treatment facilities, sanitary sewer collection systems, wastewater treatment plants, and pump stations. Our Nashville office, located in Franklin, TN, is home to a passionate and growing team of professionals. Key Responsibilities Prepare engineering reports, technical analyses, and design documentation. Develop detailed plans and specifications in accordance with regulatory requirements. Assist with permit applications and coordination with regulatory agencies. Support project managers in the execution of deliverables, budgeting, and client communications. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (M.S. preferred). Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Tennessee or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and AutoCAD. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
