Director of Sales Responsibilities Oversee recruitment, training, and management of sales staff, including scheduling, coaching, performance evaluations, and adherence to company policies. Contribute to strategic sales plans; oversee action plans, quality control, problem resolution, and conduct audits. Manage financial objectives by forecasting needs, preparing annual budgets, monitoring expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective measures. Set and achieve annual sales quotas; project sales volume and profits for new and existing products; develop pricing strategies and monitor market trends. Plan, develop, and evaluate advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; create effective field sales action plans. Identify market opportunities through consumer research; analyze market trends, competitor shares, and business forecasts. Enhance product appeal and marketability by researching market opportunities and coordinating new product development. Maintain strong relationships with key accounts through regular visits and understanding their needs. Collect, analyze, and summarize market data and trends; ensure confidentiality of critical information. Stay informed about industry developments by attending educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations. Achieve marketing and organizational goals in alignment with the company’s mission. Director of Sales Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience, coupled with five to ten years of industry experience. Expertise in financial planning and strategy, along with strong marketing concepts and positioning. Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage programs for all housing types, and proficiency in people management, territory management, sales planning, and competitive analysis. A solid understanding of customer needs, product development, client relationships, and exceptional project management skills. Highly creative and analytical thinking skills, paired with exceptional verbal and written communication abilities. An enthusiastic, motivated, high-energy personality with proven leadership skills.
