Knowledge of: Sand-Blasting equipment Abrasives used in sand-blasting Basic trouble-shooting of sand-blasting equipment Quality assurance Ability to: Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Maintain routine records. Work from scaffolding, riggings and ladders. Use a variety of tools and operate equipment utilized in the sand blasting trade. Maintain tools and equipment in a clean and proper working condition. Understand and follow oral and written directions. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Perform duties effectively, timely, and without supervision. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Indoor environment subject to changing conditions and temperatures. Regular exposures to fumes, dust, odors, heights, and loud noises. Working on ladders at varying heights. Exposure to loud noises from equipment operation. Physical Demands: Climbing ladders and working from heights as necessary. Occasional bending, kneeling, and twisting. Clarity of vision at varying distances to perform various work assignments. Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling object(s) weighing up to 80 pounds. Standing for extended periods of time. Reaching overhead, above the shoulders, and horizontally. Continuous hand-eye coordination and manipulation of large and small objects to operate painting equipment and tools. Verbal, auditory, and written capabilities to effectively communicate in an articulate manner. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a variety of specialized tools and equipment and to drive.
