Job Summary:
A nursing opportunity is available in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Great Falls, Montana. The position involves providing high-quality care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients on a step-down medical/surgical unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role is scheduled for night shifts, and prior experience in post-heart catheterization, vascular surgery, or pediatric care is preferred.

Job Details:

• Location: Great Falls, Montana
• Shift: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current Montana registered nurse (RN) licensure; BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required, or obtained within 6 months of hire; 0 years of experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: TNCC, ENPC certification; pediatric experience; post-op vascular surgery or post heart catheterization experience
• Responsibilities: Provide care for general medical and surgical patients, operate advanced medical equipment including invasive lines, chest tubes, and ventilatory support, and manage medications such as Heparin, Diltiazem, Dobutamine, Lasix, Bumex, Amiodarone, and Dopamine. Acts as a clinical leader and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning. Assist with staffing needs on the medical-surgical nursing unit.
• Additional Information: Use of basic office equipment, multiple IV pumps, cardiac telemetry, EKG interpretation, and adherence to nursing principles and procedures are essential. Pediatric experience, especially in post-heart catheterization and vascular surgery patient care, is a plus.
