Our client is seeking an IT Developer to lead enterprise system integrations, develop custom middleware, and drive AI-powered automation initiatives. This hands-on role will architect scalable integrations between transportation, ERP, and financial systems while leveraging modern AI development tools to improve efficiency and automate business processes.

Perfect Fit:
- Strong hands-on PHP development with RESTful API integration, SQL, and experience building enterprise middleware solutions.
- Experience using AI development tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor), Python automation, and building AI agents/MCP connections.
- Transportation or logistics experience with McLeod TMS, ERP systems (SAP), and EDI integrations is highly preferred.
- Web Developers with PHP experience but no enterprise integrations or API development.
- .NET or Java developers without strong PHP, SQL, and middleware experience.
- Candidates without AI tooling experience or transportation/logistics domain exposure.

This hands-on role will architect scalable integrations between transportation, ERP, and financial systems while leveraging modern AI development tools to improve efficiency and automate business processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise PHP middleware supporting system integrations.
- Build and consume secure RESTful APIs with internal and third-party platforms.
- Utilize Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and other AI tools to accelerate software development.
- Develop AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations to automate business workflows.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries supporting enterprise applications.
- Develop solutions using PHP, Python, .NET, or Java as needed.
- Support McLeod TMS integrations, ERP systems, and EDI frameworks.
- Partner with IT and business teams to improve automation, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Proven experience developing enterprise applications using PHP.
- Strong RESTful API development and systems integration experience.
- Strong SQL development and database optimization skills.
- Experience with Python and AI automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience using AI development tools such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor.
- Experience building AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP) connections is highly preferred.
- Experience with .NET or Java development.
- Experience with McLeod TMS, SAP/ERP systems, and EDI integrations is a plus.
- Transportation or logistics industry experience is strongly preferred.
