Hiring for Trench Crew Leader in Smithfield, VA

We are looking for an experienced Trench Crew Leader to join our underground construction team. This is a great opportunity for a safety-focused leader who can lead a field crew, maintain productivity, and ensure quality installations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 3-person field crew and support the Foreman in meeting project goals
• Ensure accuracy of daily field reports
• Maintain crew productivity during delays and changing field conditions
• Monitor quality assurance and ensure installations meet customer specifications and industry standards
• Ensure safe work practices are followed at all times
• Operate and maintain directional drill and locating equipment
• Read and work from blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Report directly to the Foreman

Requirements & Qualifications

• Ability to effectively lead a 3-person crew
• Experience operating and maintaining directional drill and locating equipment
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and specifications
• Valid Class A CDL and ability to meet driver qualification requirements
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
• Underground construction experience preferred
