Job Description
Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00) with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in the Labor & Delivery department, supporting patients during labor and delivery processes. The position may require floating to postpartum as well as potential on-call duties depending on patient census.

Responsibilities

• Administer blood products and medications as necessary.
• Support high-risk deliveries and standard vaginal deliveries.
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and assess postpartum recovery.
• Educate parents on discharge teaching and infant care.
• Monitor and manage the health of newborns and mothers.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, specifically in Labor & Delivery.
• State licensure as a Registered Nurse required; compact license preferred.
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS.
