Data Visualization Engineer 3 Location: Birmingham, AL Contract- 3 Years Client- Alabama Power Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and creative Data Visualization Specialist to design, develop, and maintain compelling dashboards and reports using a variety of datasets. This role requires strong expertise in Power BI and familiarity with other tools like SQL and Tableau. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, a deep understanding of data storytelling, and can translate complex data into actionable insights. Key Responsibilities: Design and build dashboards, scorecards, and visual reports using Power BI and other BI tools. Collaborate with data teams to gather requirements and identify KPIs and data relationships. Ensure accuracy, usability, and aesthetics of data visualizations to support business decision-making. Work with large datasets from multiple sources, transforming them into clean, concise visuals. Maintain and improve existing dashboards based on stakeholder feedback and evolving needs. Provide recommendations on data visualization best practices and editorial presentation. Troubleshoot and optimize performance of reports and data queries. Required Qualifications: 3–10 years of experience in data visualization or business intelligence roles Strong proficiency in Power BI Experience with SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading Working knowledge of Tableau or similar visualization platforms Understanding of database design, data warehousing, and data governance principles Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DAX, Power Query, or Python/R for data manipulation Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Snowflake, AWS) Background in UX/UI design for dashboards is a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr 4P Consulting Inc.
